A real-time assistant to play and improve at chess

ChessHelper combines an interactive board and the Stockfish engine in your browser: position evaluation, recommended play, and suggested moves to understand every moment of the game.

Why use ChessHelper?

  • Real time

Analysis updates as you play: depth, score, and main line stay aligned with the current position.

  • Stockfish

One of the strongest engines in the world, running locally in your browser for fast suggestions with no install.

  • Improvement

See how balanced the game is, the expected continuation, and ask the engine for a move to compare with your idea.

How does it work?

The tool stays simple: you focus on the board, ChessHelper handles the analysis.

  1. Open the assistant

The /tool page loads the board and initializes Stockfish in your browser (no account required).

  2. Play your moves

Click a piece, then a destination square. Legal moves are shown; you can reset the game or flip the board.

  3. Read the analysis

The side panel shows evaluation, search depth, the main line (continuation), and move history. Use “Play best move” to see the engine’s choice.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install anything?

Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes: you can clearly see whether the position favors White or Black and which line the engine prefers, which helps understand tactics and strategy.
Are my games stored?
The app runs locally in your browser; no games are sent to a server for the analysis described here.
